Cardi B reacts after being attacked for ‘mimicking’ Hindu goddess

  American rapper, Cardi B has apologised after she was accused of culture appropriation over her new shoot. The new shoot sees her mimicking a Hindu goddess stirring agitation among faithful of the religion. Cardi B appears in a new campaign for a sportswear brand putting on a red gown with multiple arms extending from her body and the imagery appears similar to that of Durga, the Hindu goddess. Durga is known for strength, protection and war. And the WAP rapper received a wide range of criticism. Gov Ortom moves to establish BSU College of Engineering

  Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom has announced plans to establish a College of Engineering at the Benue State University, Makurdi. Governor Samuel Ortom said this on Thursday at the Benue Peoples House, Makurdi when he received a report of the State Steering Committee on the Establishment of Centre for Infectious and Tropical Diseases, College of Health Sciences, Benue State University. Ortom disclosed that a committee would be constituted to fast-track the establishment of the College of Engineering at the institution. He, therefore, directed the Commissioner for Health and Human Services, Dr. Emmanuel Ikwulono to present a memo to the State Executive Council on findings and recommendations of the report for immediate action. Governor Ortom described the engineering college as key to technology development even as he stressed that Benue, known as the Food Basket of the Nation should also be the hub of education .   Tinsel Star, Wendy Lawal has lost her mother. Wendy made this known in a post via her Instagram account on Friday. She wrote: “Only God understands, Only God knows why…This hurts… so much. I’m in pain… a lot of it on some days, it’s extremely difficult to breathe…It’s excruciatingly difficult to bear “We’re trying our best to be strong for each other… We’re doing you proud I promise. “I’m thankful for the honour of being your daughter, You left too soon, but I’m grateful for the life you lived, the virtues, values and memories you left us with I’ll miss you everyday.   Toke Makinwa has opened up on undergoing plastic surgeries on her body. The media personality in a question and answer session on her new episode of Toke Moments on Youtube said she had surgery done on her body and had a lip filler. Giving reasons, Toke said she enhanced her body to look better and curvy in clothes. The 36-year-old, however, added that she does not regret undergoing surgery. Toke said: “Yes I worked on my body but my breast is real. I had a lip filler because I wanted to launch my lipstick brand but now I dont think it is necessary. “Also I enhanced my body after I got my fibroids removed. I did that because I wanted to feel better in clothes. “I do not regret enhancing my body because it’s the best thing I’ve ever done and I wanted to look curvy and I love it.”

Nigerian singer Oluwatosin Ajibade, also known as “Mr Eazi” has revealed why his relationship with Teni Otedola, daughter to Nigerian business mogul, Femi Otedola is still waxing strong against all odds. The couple had been in the news after they made their relationship public. However, people have been wondering how he was able to capture the heart of a billionaire’s daughter regardless of the difference in their social status. Speaking during an interview with Do2dtun of Cool FM, Eazi said that the synergy and closure in his relationship came from being responsible to his partner. According to him, being that way to her also made him a better person. “I think any form of responsibility helps us as human beings. “When you are responsible to someone; a friend, a girlfriend, a brother, a wife, helps you, especially because I am nomadic,” he said.
